When you contact us to make an appointment, we will give you some ideas you may wish to consider before we meet. Convenience is paramount for you so as to not interfere with your day we will discuss your Will requirements at your home, feeling comfortable is important and in your own home is less stressful than people anticipate. We aim is to provide a highly professional and personal yet relaxed experience in dealing with a difficult and emotional subject. The appointment should take between an hour to an hour and a half. During the appointment, we cover various subjects including;

  1. Single or mirror wills
  2. Implications of care homes (long term care planning)
  3. Sideways inheritance (if your spouse remarries after your death)
  4. Incapacity do you need a Lasting Power of Attorneys
  5. Trusts
  6. Home protection (asset protection trusts)
  7. Exclusions (deals with family rifts etc.)
All or none of the above subjects may be relevant to you, which we will not know until we have been able to discuss your estate and requirements in detail. Please ask for further information. When we a have taken your instructions your Will will be returned within 7 to 10 days. Once you have read the will and are happy with (any changes will be done free of charge of course). The will/wills will need to be signed and witnessed to be legally binding (information provided with the Will’s). Storage of your wills can be provided (see storage page), for your peace of mind as your documents need to be safe, we are happy to store your Will with our storage facility, for a small annual charge. This will form part of our initial instruction taking. A three yearly review forms part of our service and we will write to you to discuss the possible changes that have occurred in your personal circumstances that may have affected your Will. If appropriate, we can then arrange to rewrite your Will.
